Fat A-Rod
Fat player photos is an occasional banter topic that most often comes up during offseasons. Ben will usually be the one to mention a recent photo in which a player appears to be heavier than usual.
Part of the amusement comes from the uncertainty of the subject actually being overweight, and whether it is attributable to factors such as billowing, shadows, and extra layers of clothing. This will sometimes result in the hosts devoting several minutes to in-depth scrutiny.
In Episode 367, Ben explained, "I kind of rank them on how plausible I believe the fatness is, I guess," and added, "I enjoy all pictures of fat players that may or may not actually be fat. That is the key to the appeal."
